More Than Homeschooling—A Community Where Students Thrive
Messy Middle Homeschool Co-op is a sensory-friendly learning community designed for middle-school-aged homeschool students, especially neurodivergent learners and those who benefit from a flexible, supportive environment.
Created by Feed the Need Sensory Zone and hosted in partnership with Stony Creek United Methodist Church, the program combines education, social connection, life-skills development, creativity, and community experiences in a way that honors each student's individual pace and strengths.
We believe learning should feel safe, engaging, and empowering.
Here, students are encouraged to explore their interests, build meaningful friendships, develop confidence, and grow in an environment intentionally designed with inclusion at its core.

A Community for Families, Not Just Students
Messy Middle was created with the understanding that supporting neurodivergent learners also means supporting the people who care for them every day.
While students build friendships, confidence, and life skills, parents and caregivers gain access to a welcoming community of individuals who understand the unique journey of raising and educating neurodivergent children.
Our goal is to create a space where families feel connected, encouraged, and supported — not only through educational opportunities, but through meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and access to valuable resources.
Messy Middle Homeschool Co-op is made possible through a meaningful partnership with Stony Creek United Methodist Church.
Through shared values of inclusion, community engagement, and support for families, this partnership provides a welcoming home for programs that serve neurodivergent youth and their caregivers.
Together, we are creating opportunities for connection, learning, accessibility, and belonging while expanding resources that strengthen the special needs community throughout the region.
